Case Study: BISS 20th anniversary conference (Munich, Germany)
BISS 20th Anniversary Conference, Munich (Germany)
I was the event manager for the BISS 20th Anniversary Conference in Munich, Germany. The event was attended by 100+ delegates representing street paper social enterprises (i.e. The Big Issue) from 30 countries from around the world.
The conference was a three-day event featuring workshops, panel discussions and social enterprise tours. It also involved four nights of evening activities, including the final night awards ceremony.
I oversaw event design, set-up and coordination remotely from the UK, as well as working on-site prior to and during the event. My role included: event management, marketing and promotion, sponsorship and fundraising, liaising with speakers, workshop facilitators and venues, delegate registration and support and event evaluation.
100% of delegates who attended the event said that they felt inspired by the conference.
